Inspired today after looking at Enrico Vitali pictures last night he took on the NY Brooklyn line in 1960 for four months. He used a Ikoflex camera at his side looking down into the view finder and captured amazing moments not too far from the images Walker Evans had taken many years previous. It’s hard enough today with a small iphone to try capture images on a train and not be noticed and not half has good has what these guys had done. Plus they had to process the film before they even knew what they had captured. But we keep trying.
